Overview
We are opening the search for a foundational role at Parable, and hiring a Data Scientist.
This role is a little different from most data science roles in that it requires strong client-facing skills. Your core responsibility is to dig into customer data sets and surface the most meaningful insights for customers.
This person will be instrumental in transforming how companies understand and optimize their most precious resource - time. You'll work at the intersection of data science, behavioral analytics, and organizational transformation, helping to build the foundation for how modern companies think about productivity, alignment, and time.
If you're excited about using data to solve one of society's most pressing problems - making time matter in a world that hijacks our attention - we'd love to talk.
This role is for someone who:
- Lives and breathes data, not just because it's your job, but because you're genuinely fascinated by the stories that numbers can tell. You've likely spent years working with data, but instead of just running standard analyses, you're always looking for deeper insights and unexpected patterns.
- Combines technical excellence with business acumen, with an unusual blend of analytical thinking and communication skills. You thrive when you build sophisticated statistical models and write efficient code, but you never lose sight of what truly matters, which is to deliver real value to customers. You can build complex statistical models one day and present insights to executives the next. You're as comfortable diving deep into Python or SQL code as you are explaining your findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Is energized by ambiguity. You know that transforming raw workplace data into meaningful insights about time and attention is a complex challenge. You have experience working with messy, unstructured data and you've developed a sixth sense for finding signal in the noise.
- Is obsessed with real-world impact. You're not satisfied with just producing interesting analyses - you want to see your insights drive real change in how organizations work. You measure your success not by the complexity of your models, or how “cool” the insights you generate are, but by the value they create for customers.
You will be responsible for:
- Contributing to the development of our core analytical frameworks that transform workplace data into actionable insights about time and attention patterns
- Designing and implementing sophisticated statistical models that help organizations understand and optimize how they use time
- Working with our Data Engineers to create and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytical processes that can grow with our customer base
- Partnering with our ML Engineers to develop and refine algorithms that power our data science engine
- Collaborating with Product teams to translate analytical insights into product features
